Today, we’re bringing some more improvements and solutions to the problems you’ve encountered, based on the feedback received after the last patch. We hope you’ll like it!
- Fixed the game crash when playing in the first-person view mode with DOF enabled
- Fixed the game crash in tutorial
- Fixed the limitation of mods quantity enabled simultaneously that caused all of them to disable at once
- Some improvements for aiming in the first-person view
- Several optimizations for pathfinding and terraforming
We’re excited to bring you several crash fixes and other optimizations that should provide you with a more pleasant gameplay experience. Take a look at the full list below!
- Fixed several game crashes related to the navigation issues
- Fixed several game crashed related to render threading
- Fixed light render for cases when there’s a lot of light sources on the scene
- Decreased the amount of video RAM consumed
- Fixed issues on fields and in the gardens that would sometimes cause the garden bed to blink
- Several optimizations for garden and field render
- Fixed several issues that caused music to turn off in the game
- Fixed the issue that caused villagers to occasionally die from hypothermia without any cause
- Improved the way villagers occupy houses: they can now attempt to switch buildings with other people when trying to get a house that’s best suited for their needs
- Several optimizations in render-effects
- Several optimizations in GUI render
First we want to thank you for being patient with us. Now, after a short break we are back on track! In this update you can see a lot of bug fixes, optimizations and overall improvements, including a lot of modder friendly additions. We’d like to share our happiness with you - our many optimizations has made it possible to now play maps that are 4x times larger! We’re looking forward to see what kind of towns your villages evolve into on these vast lands!
- You can now start a new game on a map that is 4x times bigger
- Added notification icons about the lack of food/tools and also diseases and fires
- You can now see icons of all buildings when pressing the Tab button
- You can now rename your village and villagers
- You can now define your own hotkeys in the settings
- Some models and textures have been improved/reworked
- A few balance tweaks for schools and hospitals
- Significantly optimized AI pathfinding code - in some cases performance can be 5-10x better!
- Optimized and fixed a couple of bugs in the lighting system
- Optimized game progress saving
- Fixed a crash of a new game in windowed mode
- Fixed bugs with collision detection
- Optimized the LoD system
Along with some Christmas content we’ve decided to add a bunch of REAL reasons to play the game during the holidays! Pavement, patios, steel and a large amount of gameplay tweaks, visual additions and modding support.

- List of available plants and livestock should be properly updated after the return of an expedition now
- Fixed a random visual glitch with colored polygons on the screen
- Fixed a bug when villagers would freeze to death even inside the house with fuel
- Villagers’ AI should no longer have inaccessible zones on the map
- Limit of resources in buildings and information window are now properly synced
- A bunch of tutorial system fixes
- Fixed some localization related issues
- A lot of crash fixes
- A lot of minor adjustments
We’re staying true to our word and are continuing the development and improvement of our game. In today’s patch, we’ve added some goodies that should improve your overall gameplay and modding experience!
- Minimap improved. You can now see where are sides of the world, icons of disasters, fires and plagues.
- Statistics improved. Implemented heatmap visualization of created/consumed resources.
- You can now pick starting location by yourself. You can choose an option to start with minimum of buildings.
- You can put residential buildings on pause now. Villagers will not move into those houses.
- Implemented a Fish Farm building with an increased fishing range in the distant sea.
- Added a bit of Halloween content here and there
- Overall modding experience improved
Prepare to see some new faces in this major patch. Some of those faces will be friendly new faces of your villagers, but some of them will not be that friendly. Those will be Raiders! Make sure to build enough fortifications and towers to fend them off!
We have significantly overhauled many internal systems of the game, including rendering. Check out some of the new or reworked eye candy (PBR, DOF, HDR, Bloom).
- New Disaster added: Raiders!
- Implemented a random face generation algorithm for villagers. No villagers will look alike anymore.
- Increased the quality of villagers’ models, textures and animations
- Visual render tweaks and improvements: implemented PBR, DOF, improved HDR, Bloom and grass rendering is also improved.
- Completely reworked the statistics system
- Tweaked and improved the GUI significantly. Make sure to check it out.
- Worker and resident lists can now be seen in houses
- Optimized rendering - you should get more FPS now
- Optimized AI - more villagers without significant lag
- Fixed technology tree progression bugs
- Fixed many bugs that have lead to the villagers being randomly stuck
- Fixed a bug that cause workers to die due to freezing while being treated in the hospital
- Fixed a bug where caravan bags were not being completely filled
We have been hard at work on improvements and new features and as you can see we have been very busy for such a small team. We hope you enjoy these improvements to stability, the visual quality, effects and improvements to gameplay. Many good things still to come in future updates.

Hello villagers, adding Eien's excellent mods adds many more resources to the game but the size of the window remains the same and you have to scroll the bar to see the ones that appear lower. hi all i still like to play this game alot but as mods go outta date an not being updated gets hard to play without the good extras the standed game hasnt got good enough buildings for making a good village the last i had was over 500 people was getting really good then the mods went out dated an kept crashing the game. is there anyone still playing an making mods for this game anymore.
It appears that this game is unfinished and completely abandoned. It had such great potential.
The response i got was: "Hello! Apologies for the delay. The project is still being worked on, albeit the development is slower. :( Expect more news this year about the upcoming fixes and tweaks!" I dont know if thats enough for you guys, but atleast the game is not forgotten by the people who made it.

Эта игра была бы идеальной, если бы не была недоделанной и забагованной. Даже функция сохранения в один момент перестаёт работать. Обидно. Пошла искать аналоги.
Но эти почти сутки в игре помогли отвлечься от реальности, так что всё же рекомендую.
Игроку придется начать с одного племени основать целый средневековый город. Начиная от урожая и и охоты и заканчивая содержанием регулярной армии. Придется искать ресурсы и разведывать территории, заранее прогнозируя потребности вашего города.
