Modding Far Cry 2 is handled via new patch dat/fat files and/or a new Dunia.dll
Dunia.dll goes in your bin folder, patch dat/fat goes in your Data32 folder. That's it!
Graphical mods like reshade, sweetfx, etc, are meant to interact with your farcry2.exe in the bin folder.

No there are plenty of good mods, the two i'm using right now is Infamous fusion which adds a even harder difficulty and essentially making gun play super realistic, and far cry 2 redux which is a complete overhaul of the far cry 2 graphics
