Almost a hundred hours of playing this game while writing this comment; figured I could drop a good note here.
Styx is a really fun game, and I enjoy replaying it to complete all the different challenges the game has to offer. After all this time, I still discover places I've never visited before, and it amazes me. I'm in love with the ambiences of every map, and I sometimes simply start the game for a nice walk in Akenash. The maps are incredible; they're layered a lot and contains a ton of different paths that you can take, allowing you to experience something new in every run. You can choose to be merciful or a real butcher if you're talented enough (unless at the beginning in easy mode, foes will always one-shot you then.) You can choose to explore the really large maps and collect well-hidden medallions, or to ignore this part, although effort is always rewarded in the game. You can choose to go unnoticed and to remain a shadow all along, or to use your clones to attract attention far from you and to frighten the ennemies. The path you'll choose will be unique to you.

I remember when I played it for the first time. It was my first stealth game and it was really stressful for me, and hard to play. It took me some time to tame the game, and to fall in love with it, and with the whole stealth genre. Sometimes I wish I could forget everything I know about this game to rediscover it again like the first time. It really impressed me back in the days. Nowadays, it might feel a bit old and cranky - the gameplay isn't completely on point (Styx doesn't always do what you wish he'd do, but they fixed it in Styx 2, and it won't prevent you from finishing the game anyway.) A sure thing is that the game is definitely worth the price you pay for. It will occupy your days for a while and will feel really cathartic; the game's difficulty (even on easy mode) is a real challenge and completing missions really does feel like you've worked for it and deserve every single exp. point.

Also, I saw no one speaking about it: the artists behind this game are wonderful. I'm thinking about the game designers - I would kiss their cheeks if I could, the cinematic digital artist(s) and their amazing uses of colors and textures, the gorgeous ears who made the OST - what an OST! It sets up the ambience immediately and rocks with a divine cello. But also the concept artists, from which you can see the artworks in the end credits (and probably on internet too) who made a neat and coherent world, the voice actors (even if they're not a lot, since alas, many NPCs have the same voice) and their crazy accent, and probably even more artists that I can't name.
Basically, this first game of Styx has a very unique personality and global design, it's a one of a kind videogame experience that, in my point of view, can't be missed if you love stealth games.
All of these notes are the reason why Styx has inspired me and haunted my dreams for years now. In my heart forever, I definitely recommend it!

В марте 2017 года вышла новенькая Styx: Shards of Darkness, но она полностью на английском языке, официальной русской локализации нет, поэтому у многих могут возникнуть проблемы с прохождением, для более комфортного прохождения игры есть фанатский русификатор.

Первый шаг.
Переходим по ссылке на сайт.

Второй шаг.
Качаем с сайта установщик русификатора (Будьте внимательны и не нажимайте на вирусные ссылки).

Третий шаг.
После того, как мы скачали установщик, запускаем его. Установщик сам найдёт путь к игре, вам просто нужно подождать, пока всё загрузится.
