This can be discussed on the article's talk page.
These are the status changes in Persona 5 and Persona 5 Royal. They can be healed with skills or items. Generally, in battle, the status conditions are healed after 3 turns. If the battle ends, all ailments are automatically healed. As such, it is recommended to only cure them during long and hard battles.
All status conditions prevent the affected to be a recipient of Baton Pass or participate in All-Out Attacks.
Certain status conditions can be inflicted on enemies in Mementos during certain special weather. This only occurs upon entering combat.
In Persona 5 Royal, Technical damage from certain ailments can be performed by more elements. Most of these weaknesses in particular can only be unlocked by reading the book " Knowing the Heart ." Additionally, Technical damage now has the chance of downing enemies by default, which can also be increased and maximized.
Downed characters recover from it when they take their turn.
Status is removed if the target is attacked.

Do enemy levels scale in New Game +?
No, the strength of enemies doesn't increase in Persona 5 Royal and Persona 5's New Game +. This means that if you choose to carry over all of your powerful equipment from your previous playthrough, you'll probably find that early battles are much easier because your party members are that much stronger. If you're looking for more of a challenge during your New Game + playthough, consider choosing a higher difficulty level.
We also have Best Ending Walkthrough, Confidants Guide, Exam Answers and Skill Level articles for the original Persona 5 game.
What carries over into New Game + in Persona 5 Royal / Persona 5?
Persona 5 Royal and Persona 5 New Game + bonuses
Here's what carries over in both Persona 5 Royal and Persona 5 New Game +:
- Social Stats
These are the five statistics that you build up outside of battle. They include Knowledge, Guts, Proficiency, Kindness, and Charm. In New Game +, all of your progress in these areas carries forward, meaning that if you managed to max all of them out, you won't have to spend time growing your stats in your New Game + playthrough. This gives you more time to build social links and partake in other activities. - Persona Compendium
All of the personas that you unlocked during your playthrough will carry over into New Game +. As long as you have the money to do so, you can re-summon them from the Velvet Room. - Skill Cards
Any Skill Cards that you found during your playthrough will carry over into New Game +. Skill Cards can be given to any persona in order to have them learn that Skill Card's skill. - Equipment
All melee weapons, ranged weapons, armour, and accessories that were either equipped or in your inventory when you finished your playthrough will carry into New Game +. - Money
All of the money you had left at the end of your playthrough will carry over into New Game +. - Playtime
Your playtime will carry over into New Game +. For example, if your playthrough took 100 hours and you save after spending 5 hours in New Game +, your playtime will read as 105 hours. - Special Items
You'll carry over any special items into New Game +. These include the items that social link characters give you at the end of the game, which bestow specific abilities.
Persona 5 Royal New Game + bonuses only
In Persona 5 Royal, you carry over additional bonuses alongside the unlocks listed above. We've listed all of Persona 5 Royal's additional New Game + unlocks below:
- HP and SP increases
Any permanent increases to HP and SP gained through activities, like training in your room or meditating at the temple, are carried over into New Game + in Persona 5 Royal. - Challenge Battle scores and rewards
Your high scores and rewards gained from the Velvet Room challenge battles will carry over into New Game + in Persona 5 Royal. - Mementos Stamps
All stamps that you've collected in Mementos will carry over to New Game + in Persona 5 Royal.
How to start New Game + in Persona 5 Royal / Persona 5
As mentioned, you'll need to finish the game in order to unlock New Game +. After the credits have rolled and you've seen any ending, the game will ask whether you want to save your 'Clear Data'.
Make sure to save this Clear Data onto a save slot of your choice - but be aware that overwriting the last save that you made during gameplay will mean that you can no longer go back to it.
Once you've saved your Clear Data, you'll return to the main menu. From here, simply select Load Game, and then choose to load your Clear Data.
Next, you'll be asked whether you want to carry over your progress into a new game. Select yes and you'll go straight into New Game +.
Mementos Requests
Mementos Requests are a mechanic in Persona 5 and Persona 5 Royal.
Profile
Persona 5
The requests in Persona 5 are side missions taking place in Mementos, some of which are needed to progress Confidant Ranks. After finding out a target's name in the real world, the Phantom Thieves can find and defeat the target's Shadow in Mementos in a boss fight to make the target have a change of heart. Doing so will reward the group with an item.
Aside from the first mission, "Beware the Clingy Ex-boyfriend," which acts as a tutorial mission, other missions are received through Yuuki Mishima's chat messages, certain Confidants or certain part time jobs. Due to plot reasons, the missions can only be accessed up until December 23rd.
Several Mementos bosses are susceptible to the Confusion ailment. This weakness is one of the fastest methods to obtain money in Persona 5. A boss confused with the spell Pulinpa by a Persona with Confuse Boost and a high Luck stat can drop up to 150,000 yen per turn at around a Luck value of 70.
Some of these targets can be seen or interacted with in the overworld and outside of cutscenes. Yumeko Mogami can be seen recording and stalking a student at Shujin Academy, Yohei Kiritani appears as an unsuspecting beggar at the Shibuya Station and Shiro Asakura can be seen harassing a woman in Shinjuku before and after his heist request.
Persona 5 Royal
While retaining all of the requests from the original Persona 5, several new requests have been added in Persona 5 Royal. Furthermore, if the conditions to progress the game into the Third Semester has been fulfilled, the requests can be done until February 1st although they cannot be completed during December 24th. Some of the new requests require the party to knock down their target and must converse with them by correctly choosing dialogue responses to complete the request rather than defeating them, akin to Negotiation (it is impossible to defeat them by reducing their HP to zero).
For the requests' targets that were located in the last Area of their respective paths, they will be confronted at Areas in the Path of Da'at instead of their original locations during the Third Semester if they were not done prior to December 23rd.
