2020 в 20:08 Would like some support for DualShock 4 (PlayStation 4) buttons when detected. I'm used to being able to tell what buttons do what based on the position of Xbox buttons, but would like to see some UI implementation. Also for the Switch Pro Controller, too, would be a bonus!Hey, Hades does indeed have native support for DualShock 4 (as well as Switch Pro controllers, plus Xbox and Steam Controller as well)! Is it not working for you. I play mostly using a DualShock 4 on my office machine, and Xbox controller at home.
We're aware of issues with some wireless gamepad configurations though if you plug in a wired controller it should just work automatically. If you're having any controller issues, our Technical Support FAQ has some possible solutions.
9 янв. 2020 в 22:29For now, just have to go with the flow. Perhaps one day SG will include PS gamepad UI prompts.

OP was asking for the default Xbox buttons to switch to the PS ones (Y button prompts as triangle) =]] 10 янв. 2020 в 0:22Hey, Hades does indeed have native support for DualShock 4 (as well as Switch Pro controllers, plus Xbox and Steam Controller as well)! 10 янв. 2020 в 10:15When I disable Steam controller configuration, native DualShock support does not work if controller is connected via bluetooth, game does not see it.
Over wire it works, but this is useless to me.
Also implementing just a button icons swap is always useful, since if people choose to not use native support, DS4 users end up with wrong button prompts.
11 янв. 2020 в 1:01 Automatic detection is one thing, but yeah, you could also add a setting to just choose the face button visuals since it's not absolutely foolproof (not to mention there may be matters of preference).I understand, thanks for clarifying. The game autodetects your controller style but there currently isn't an option to choose the button prompt styles manually. Thank you for the feedback. 26 июл. 2020 в 12:17

Please add the option to choose button prompt styles. It's a very rare feature, not often seen in games, yet it's a very helpful one. Would love to see it implemented at some point. 27 июл. 2020 в 5:26 Dualshock 4 is not really supported on PC. Only few games support it, but there isn't any official driver for it in Windows 10 . The game autodetects your controller style but there currently isn't an option to choose the button prompt styles manually. Thank you for the feedback. Since this got bumped, I'll take this opportunity to say that I'd love an option to force the button prompt style. I use an 8BitDo SN30 Pro+ controller, which uses the Nintendo-style button layout, but it's detected as a generic Xinput controller, so it displays Xbox buttons for it. Dualshock 4 is not really supported on PC. Only few games support it, but there isn't any official driver for it in Windows 10 . Steam only emulates it as a Xbox controller.
recent games i'd tried from CD Projekt, ubisoft, square enix, all provide PlayStation UI.

Think - Blashphemous, Hollow Knight, The Long Dark, 7 Days to Die, A Plague Tale: Innocence, Armello, Beholder and so on.
When it comes to major development companies, Kodjima Production's has figured this puzzle out. Not only does Death Stranding provide native DS4 support, it also lets you choose which button prompts you want to see on the screen.
Hell, even Ubisoft has figured it out! Ubisoft! Think about that! Most of its titles know what DS4 buttons look like. Personally I know of Assassin's Creed Origins, and all of it's successors .
Controller or Mouse??
I originally started playing this awesome game with a mouse + keyboard. I felt it worked just fine. I just bought a game pad for some other games I play and tried it out on my runs. Which do you all feel is better for this game?
I know a lot of you will probably answer “personal preference, play style, etc.” which is absolutely true. But I was wondering if anyone has tried both and has a preference and why. Just curious, I really can’t decide right now. I feel like maybe aiming is more accurate with the mouse. Thanks for the input.
Ps. Really a wonderful game. Kudos to Supergiant. I loved this game so much I actually bought all their other titles. They’re pretty good as well, but Hades is still my favorite.
New comments cannot be posted and votes cannot be castSo, pros and cons for each. I still prefer controller, as the pros outweigh the cons for me.
I generally play kb+m.
I moved dash and cast to my mouse buttons, so all my actions are on one hand. and it feels a lot better with ground targeted effects.
. do other people not do that? How in the hell would you start pressing other things while you are frantically WASD+Spacing your way the hell out of danger. I guess . shift for cast could be okay?
Naw. Attack M1, special M2, cast M3, happiness M4.
I used KB/M for a long, long time, but my god controller feels so much better now. Spamming dash attacks and specials is a lot easier on my hands with a 360 controller.
On the other hand, you cannot really fluidly attack in one direction and move in another (strafing or circling opponents while attacking fast, or aiming & shooting bow/gun while dashing around) as easily as you can with mouse and keyboard (this a HUGE for me personally). Mouse and keyboard also has more accurate aiming since you disable auto-locking. You can very accurately and precisely aim your shots into a crowd of enemies and hit exactly where you want. You are hindered to less accurate directional movement due to no analog but you can attack and strafe around much more effectively and easily. Another positive to mouse/keyboard is that you can change direction of attack while not accidentally moving. You notice in-game if you dash and attack you carry some momentum and you move slightly; this can be a big deal on fights like hydra with the extra mechanics and new room you get on high pact of torment. You need precise movement and with mouse/keyboard you can stand in one spot and change your direction of attack without risking tip-toeing into the lava.
Controller or Keyboard?
I like movement better on controller and aiming better on pc. Fml
One hand on both.
Yeaa controller for sure ..keyboard feels weird for me for some reason. Movement and dodging with analog feels way smoother
I’m a very casual player and I play with keyboard! To be fair, it’s because I’m absolutely helpless with a controller. I don’t use it unless I absolutely have to lol
Keyboard+mouse for adamant rail, controller for everything else. Lol.
Same! I can’t stand the auto aim on the special, it triggers the everliving crap out of me
controller feels more fluid, even though i just changed my mappings and am really struggling lol
The keyboard felt weird initially, especially when I enabled the dash to mouse cursor and the character would dash in the opposite direction of where I was running because my mouse was in the wrong place, but it allows you to dash and Target so much more precisely, I just use keyboard now. Things like being able to triple bomb with the railgun upgrade in weirdly spaced spots seems like it would be impossible to do in controller. At least, nowhere near as quick.
