Failed to install mod map ark что делать

Curious if anyone else has ran into this issue. I was playing on a server when I got kicked to the title screen. When I tried to rejoin it gave me an error: "Failed to install mod map." There was no server side update, one of my tribe mates logged in shortly after and was able to get in with no problems. I verified my game data and was still unable to log in. No admins were online to do anything to the server or whatever.

I'm currently redownloading the game, to see if that works but open to other suggestions if not.

[So basically you try to login the the server which you are getting this error < 1st LOOK FOR THE MOD TRYING TO INSTALL BEFORE YOU GET THE ERROR IN THE BOTTOM RIGHT CORNER>write that name down!] 2nd find out the mod ID number associated with the mod name you wrote down! 3rd Once you know the ID number browse to the Local files/ShooterGame/Content/Mods now look for the folder with your mod ID now change the name of that folder cause it has corrupt files in it and some files are read only so you can't delete the folder. once name is changed rejoin the server get a fresh mod intalled then enjoy! if it happens again rinse repeat but it will most likely be a different mod that was also corrupted 22 фев. 2016 в 9:59

I have an ARK server. Just uploaded about 12 mods today and when I tried to join I got this error! My google search for the problem led me to this post. I deleted the "fence/rail" mod and restarted the server. Problem solved.

Although it solved my joining problem though my son tried joining shortly after and had to spam join the server before he had success in getting in. But his problem was downloading the mods from the server.

I can confirm that StoragePlus v2.1 was the issue causing the mod map error. So ive been trying to trouble shoot this for 2 days for a friend who couldnt get on to my server, she uninstalled did all the regular steps that have been mentioned.

the problem was a mod on the server that was DELETED by the author of the mod. So anyone who had access to the mod previously were fine, anyone who reinstalled or havent downloaded it yet would get this error. ADMINS! make a detailed list of your mods and mod id's so you can track these problems down quickly

Mod makers! PLEASE DONT DELETE YOUR MODS! if they are outdated please just state this in your content :( wish there was a better way to let users of the mods know the mods are outdated :(

  5. Now follow the prompts on your screen to uninstall the Ark game and then restart your system.
  6. Then, once again boot into the safe mode.
  7. Now open the File Explorer and navigate to the following path:

  9. Now delete the folder labeled as 346110 and restart your system.
  10. Upon restart, install the Ark game and hopefully, the mod map issue is resolved.

(Solution (partially) Suggested by Moobs
Unsubscribe to all ARK workshop items
Reboot into Safe Mode
Delete both C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\346110 and C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\ARK entirely
Reboot back into Normal Mode
Reinstall ARK and The Center (Haven't tried again with Scorched Earth yet)
Subscribe to all of the server required workshop items again after installation finished )

So, I have two servers I enjoy playing. One only has 1 mod, and I was able to play on it for a few weeks. The other has 53+ mods. At first, I couldn't play it due to the error in the title.
I tried deleting and renaming the folders for the mods that seemed to be causing the problem, and then I tried uninstalling the game completely and reinstalling it.
Reinstalling brought up the issue of Missing File Privileges. Trying again while running Steam as an administrator did not fix it, and I finally resorted to uninstalling Steam itself, deleting the left over files for ARK, and reinstalling.

This allowed me to play the server with 53+ mods once, and the next day when I tried to get back on, Failed To Install Mod Map appeared again despite there being no updates to Steam, Ark, or any workshop items. I unsubscribed to all of the mods again and tried playing the first server instead. This time it came up with the same error as the other server. My friend that is playing the same two servers isn't having any issues with this.

Now I've deleted all of the workshop files it will allow (Trying to delete the remaining 3 after rebooting without opening Steam again tells me I need administrator permissions, and trying to rename tells me the files are in use, despite Steam never being open and nothing involving it running in the task manager.) and uninstalled Scorched Earth to see if it would let me play on an unmodded Center server, only for Failed To Install Mod Map to come up again.

I reinstalled Scorched Earth and uninstalled The Center to try an unmodded Scorched Earth server instead, with the same result. Next I'm uninstalling ARK again and rebooting to see if I can reinstall it without Missing File Privileges appearing again, because I'm trying to avoid uninstalling Steam again.

If anyone could suggest anything new at all, that would be great, and much appreciated! I've been trying to fix this for a total of 18 hours at this point, and this is getting pretty frustrating at this rate, because I love the game and really want back onto the server. Thank you very much if you can think of anything. ♥

(Solution that worked for me at top of post, hope this helps someone else in the future!)

Solution 1: Verify Integrity of Game Files of ARK

The game files of ARK can become corrupt due to many factors (like a sudden shutdown of your system) and can cause the error at hand because they put several modules in error states. In this context, verifying the integrity of the game files of ARK may solve the problem. The process will verify the files with the game server and the missing/corrupt files will be reacquired as fresh copies.


  1. Open the Library of the Steam client.
  2. Now right-click on the icon of ARK: Survival Evolved and then click on Properties.
  3. Then navigate to the Local Files tab and click on Verify Integrity of Game Files. Verify Integrity of the Game Files of Ark
  4. Now, wait for the completion of the verification process.
  5. Then launch the game and check if the ARK game is clear of the error.

Your system’s drivers are updated regularly to improve performance by patching known bugs and catering to the latest technological advancements. However, you may encounter the error under discussion if the drivers of your system (especially the graphics driver) are outdated. The IGFXEM module process is known to create this issue. Here, updating the drivers to the latest build may solve the problem.

    (many OEMs preferred to use Windows update channel to update drivers) and system drivers to the latest builds. If you are using an application like GeForce Experience or Dell Support Assistant, then use that application to update the drivers of your system.
  1. Then check if ARK is clear of the error.
  2. If not, then try to roll back the graphics driver of your system and then check if the ARK game is operating fine.
  3. If not, exit ARK and the Steam client.
  4. Right-click on the Windows button and in the menu shown, click on the Task Manager. Selecting Task Manager after pressing Windows + X
  5. Now, in the processes tab, select IGFXEM (Intel Graphics Executable Main Module) process (the process will only be shown if you are using an Intel graphics card) and then click on End Task. End Task of IGFXEM Module
  6. Then launch the Steam client and the game to check if ARK is clear of the error.
  7. If so, then change the startup type of the IGFXEM process to Manual.
  8. If not, repeat the above step 7 and then verify the integrity of the game files (as discussed in solution 1).
  9. Now launch ARK to check if the issue is resolved.

Solution 2: Free Up Space on the System / Installation Drive of the ARK Game

Modern games require some serious storage space of your drive. You may encounter the error under discussion if your system or installation drive of the game is running out of space and is unable to cater to the expanding needs of the game. In this case, clearing storage space on your system/installation drive of the game may solve the problem.

  1. Remove any unwanted games from the Steam client.
  2. Then remove unwanted applications from your system.
  3. Also, move the files from the system drive/installation drive of the game to another drive.
  4. Perform disk clean-up on the drives.
  5. After clearing-up space on the drives, make sure you have at least 20 GB space available on each drive (if system drive or installation drive of the game are different) and then launch the game to check if the ARK game is operating fine.
