Same issue here. Revalidating the game cache after deleting the Easy AntiCheat folder - or the bundles folder doesn't help. Neither does running the game in administrator mode - or uninstalling or repairing the EAC service. I play four other games routinley that use EAC and rust is the only one that seems to be having any trouble.

EDIT: Resolved by allowing the following in my firewall:

- Rust.exe
- RustClient.exe (shows as EasyAntiCheatLauncher)
- EasyAntiCheat_Setup.exe (shows as EasyAntiCheatService)

Would be nice if EAC used descriptive filenames instead of hiding what these exes are actually for.

20 ноя. 2017 в 18:16 Disconnect: EAC: EAC sandbox not active (dummy client) Every time I try to join a server this pops up. I have watched many videos on how to fix this and none of them work. No luck finding a resolution either.

Вы пытаетесь подключиться на выбранный сервер Rust, а в ответ вам прилетает кик, не пускает.
Вы можете повстречать такую ошибку.

Причина

Это ошибка загрузки античит-модуля для EAC. Может быть проблема в конфигурации сети у клиента или провайдера.

Решение

Достаточно просто перезайти в клиент и возможно ошибка пропадет.

Некоторые просто удаляют папку с античитом и устанавливают заново.
Или же удаляют при выключенном Steam. Потом включают и заново все обновляют.

i cannot connect to any rust servers, i get the message "EAC:EAC Sandbox not active (dummy client). i have 2500 hours plus, i just wanna play but i cant cause of this, anybody know what to do?

What do your hours of rust got to do with this? Just curious.

Sorry to resurrect a dead thread, but just in case anyone else gets to this by googling like I did, my clock was not synced to internet time (CMOS reset) and so it failed to make the SSL connection required for the anti-cheat.
