Dishonored 2 где пьеро
3 дек. 2016 в 16:58 I find it interesting that Sokolov is the main interest in terms of scientific expertise considering Piero made the mask and much of Corvo's equipment. Yet They never mentioned what happened with him? As far as we know based on the "Canon" ending Sokolov and him should be working together as best buds. 3 дек. 2016 в 17:00
"Ultimately, sometime between 1837 and 1852, Piero produced a new health elixir with Anton Sokolov, known as the S&J Health Elixir, before passing away"

Rather lazy writing in that aspect. Would have been nice to have even a small notebook that mentioned he was why Corvo's mask went from a casted appearance to a TIG welded Appearance or that Sokolov's turn to "goodness" was partially caused by his friend's passing.

No I got that and understood that part (I chuckled myself at the irony during my playthrough of D1 in that respect), but it didn't mean he couldn't live until this game's timeline. Or in fact at least warrant either Emily/Corvo or Sokolov saying, "oh yeah Piero good guy helped me cure the Rat Plague, shame he died. brilliant guy."

What bad writing your talking about ? Its quite obvious Piero will die as been revealed in dishonored.
But totally agreed dishonored 2 story felt lazy like where is the loyalist supporting Emily. Seriously assassinating Delilah will make Emily be Empress again lol!
Emily needed an army to secure her position and politician to stabilize her regime.
It will be cool Howlers and Overseer will help Emily to be an empress but no those grp purpose is to help Emily or Corvo solve a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid door.
Arkane totally miss an opportunity using the howlers and overseer in the game.
Like hell Delilah coup is much more realistic than Emily or Corvo's plan.

There was no implication that his brain fevers would kill him outright or soon, simply that they plauged him. Dishonored's medical technology is an unknown so it's possibly Piero could have lived into this game's timeline. Additionally it's poor writing because as I mentioned before, there's literally no mention of him at ALL in Dishonored 2 (an errant Tweet from a creator is not an in-game source).
He was instrumental in so many things and yet Sokolov doesn't mention him, Corvo or Emily can't be bothered to recall him, ect. It was lazy writing to forget such an important character (albeit a side character) when they brought Sokolov of all people back into the game.
It's just a loose end they lazily swept under the rug is my point.

Dishonored technology is just not so advance as you think in their medicine.
Even compared to our modern technology, yes there are some cases Piero could be save but could leave him w/ undesirable effects.
Also Piero isn't freaking rich to afford that treatment if it exist in dishonored. Also there is no gurantee he could be saved.

That's still just as presumptious as what you're accusing me of. If anything he'd probably be brought into Emily's inner circle much like Sokolov was, thus resources wouldn't be an issue and admitedly there could be unforseen side effects I surely won't argue against that.
Yet, regardless of the time of his death the very fact that he isn't even mentioned after everything he's done and the people he's impacted along the way is just poor writing. They mention Sokolov and everything he's done, his technological wonders in books, ect. and yet nothing about Peiro's contributions or even a footnote. It's a glaring failing in story writing period.
Look it doesn't ruin the game or make the story any weaker/less enjoyable; but it does show a lack of continuity and world building that he's for all intents and purposes dissapeared from collective memory in the game world is all.

I do agree that he could've been mentioned, but it's been 15 years since the events of the first game. That's a fair amount of time for the world to move on.

I'd give you the "15yrs is a long time angle" if they didn't recount the last 15yrs constantly in the game, Sokolov is given a ton of exposition in that regard as is Corvo and Emily regarding the events of the first game, additionally much of Sokolov's early life in the first game is referenced as well as the Rat Plague. That's what makes it rather blatant is that they almost purposefully neglected to mention Peiro's contribution given that they made such an effort to rehash the first game.
Yeah, I'm thinking Encephalitis as well. But it's hard to say that Dishonored's medicine is or isn't up to the task. Keep in mind that the game's health elixer is meant to prevent Bloodfly Fever (which has super weird effects if you look at Nest Keepers for example) and S&J's Elixer cures the Rat Plague (which basically turned people into hacking shambling zombies among other things). I'm just disapointed in the writing team on a few fronts and this happens to be another example of poor writing in regards to the Dishonored story/universe.
Пьеро нет дома.
Пьеро нет дома. — записка в игре Dishonored.
Есть ли Пьеро в Dishonored 2?
Piero's Thoughts on Sokolov) — аудиограмма в игре «Dishonored».
