I wouldn't call it terrible, it could be a great game in the right hands. Unfortunately it's not in the right hands. It's basically stitll the same game it was in 2009. Really buggy and with some odd design choices. The devs have added a couple new assets, tweaked the interface a couple times and even fixed a couple bugs. But its still the same game as Cities XL.

You are much better off with Cities Skylines.

It did not work.
So to get back there investment they rename the game every one and two years. It's more or less a scam. Off-topic, but in response to the reply above mine, I don't know why people diss SimCity 2013 so much. It's only real flaw was that the map size was way too small, but that doesn't make it the worse game on the planet like everyone likes to pretend it was. (The other flaw was that it was online-only at first, but they finally changed that.)

Off-topic some more, but even though I have my old discs somewhere, I bought SC4 Deluxe today since Steam has it on sale for $5. Most, including myself, hail that as the greatest city builder ever, but wow, after an hour of playing, I couldn't get used to the antiquated graphics, square/grid-only roads, and bumpy roads (due to non-level terrain).

Sc2013 didnt even have a citizen ai, so to conclude: traffic broken, citizens broken, tiny maps, really bad road construction, online broken, expensive dlc, expensive game. 2 дек. 2017 в 2:12 a game is okay when it is addictive, and cities xl was for a while., well, for me. Like a puzzle. Unfortunately I found the game incomplete. No trains . Also buggy. But then. the updates . where you had to pay for ! The same bugs . Still no trains ? Nothing changed ? Offensive, It looked like the creaters ran away with the profit of xl and dissappeared.

Citizens went to first free job they found and they returned in the evening to first empty house they found. That really didn't work well and thus you couldn't do anything for the traffic etc. 2 дек. 2017 в 4:58

it was bad due to a piss poor launch, having to be online 24/7 which is dumb for a city builder, various bugs and glitches that made the game unplayabale (save wipes) and because EA can't just take what makes simcity 4 good and expand upon that because that would mean using their brains.

какой симулятор лучше выбрать: Cities: Skylines или Cities XXL?

Когда то я ставил сим сити, но там чтото типа соединения с инетом требовалось и я забил на него. сейчас хочу какойнибудь градострой по типу тропико поставить. то есть, такой, где нет миллиона табличек как в играх парадоксов, но и чтоб браузерную игрушку не напоминал.
я бы конечно скачал их обе, посидел за установкой и помучал себя, но мне не к спеху (решил тут нью вегас до конца добегать) и хочется послушать аргументы тех кто играл в оба этих градостроя.
какую из этих двух игрушек лучше выбрать и почему?

Я в Скайлинес не играл, только в ХХЛ. Могу сказать что ХХЛ очень таки сложный и интересный не менее сложный чем СимСити но не такой запутанный. Плюс графика хорошая.

ну дело то тут в том, что сим сити я ставить больше вообще не хочу. а тут вроде 2 свежих игры с одинаковым концептом, поэтому сложновато выбрать между ними.

Неужели никто не играл в обе эти игры?
ну если хоть в одну играли напишите хотя бы почему выбрали именно её, а не какуюто из вышеуказанных.

XL is a citypainter, not a builder (the city doesn't adjust to what you build (buildings don't upgrade or anything))

Best way to start isn't necessarily to build your own city, unless you thrive off of the humour of seeing people complain of sewerage and dead bodies everywhere. Cities XL was promising but failed many times.
I'm a big fan of city builder since sim city on atari in the 80's.

Skyline is the best, of all time, and the only one i need.
I bought it on release (of course) and it's one of the few game i still play on a regular basis, out of my 300+ games.

The newest release of the other franchise is Cities XXL. Not really much change in content compared to Cities XL but quite a better engine.
