Tetra minecraft
The hammer is incredibly vital to tweaking your tools, and crafting one is not too difficult.
Start off with a diorite or andesite hammer, as those are the most durable starting hammers available at the start of a game. (you can make them out of wood and cobblestone by swapping out the andesite/diorite)
Right click the hammer on a vanilla crafting table and you have a Tetra workbench, on which you'll be creating most of your tools and cracking open some of those sweet geodes.
Now you want to obtain the Holosphere.
The Holosphere is the single most important thing in the entire pack, allowing you to get recipes for your weapons and tools as you please. Most modpacks will just give it to you by default, but here's how to obtain it if you don't have that luxury.
The Holosphere is crafted by surrounding a redstone lamp with 4 metal scrap (more on obtaining later)
After that, you need to go and search for an underground Ancient Ruin, which is located near bedrock in mountainous or snowy biomes, at around Y=0 to Y=30
What the ancient ruin looks like from the outside
This is where you'll get most of the materials for your start.
From there, mine a few of the dark factory-looking blocks with a T5 pickaxe (or your hammer) and you will get metal scrap, to now craft your holosphere.
Tetra is a mod added by mickelus. It allows for the altering and tweaking of tools and weapons to the player's desire.

The first step in exploring Tetra is to create your first Workbench. The Workbench will allow you to customize and upgrade tools and weapons using various in game materials, as well as create specific tool types unique to the mod.
A Workbench holding a Diamond Sword
In order to create a Workbench, you need to craft a Hammer at a regular crafting table using two sticks, and two wooden planks/stone in a diagonal formation. JEI is recommended to view the crafting recipie.
Once you have crafted the Hammer, just hold it in your hand and right click on a regular crafting table to turn it into a workbench.
It is recommended you make a second crafting table, as Workbenches don't function like the vanilla crafting table. You can, however, turn a Workbench back into a crafting table at any time simply by mining it, which turns it back into a regular crafting table upon dropping.
Basics of Modular Crafting [ ]
Tetra's Modular Crafting allows the player to upgrade and customize tools and weapons through tinkering.
To get started, right click on the Workbench and place any vanilla tool or weapon into the slot.
Here you can change out the head (or heads) of a given tool for sturdier materials, as well as the handle, and many other things.
It is recommended to experiment with the Workbench as much as possible, as the creative aspect of designing your own tools and weapons is the core gameplay feature of this mod.
The Holosphere [ ]
Upon creating your first Hammer, a grey sphere will appear in your inventory. This is your Holosphere!
The Holosphere functions as a kind of in-game encyclopedia of materials which can possibly be used as parts in Modular Crafting, as well as information about what kinds of major modules can be built onto which tool types.
If you are playing with other mods installed which Tetra has built-in compatibility with, and/or with Tetra compatibility mods such as Tetranomicon, your Holosphere will likely contain usable materials from those mods as well.
The Holosphere's UI, showing all usable vanilla materials, as well as some usable materials from seperate mods.
It is a good idea to have a good flick through the Holosphere if this is your first time playing the mod, as it will give you a good idea of what to expect, and what's possible.
Note that the tabs at the top of the UI labeled STRC and SYST are currently empty, and will likely contain content in future updates.
Good luck! [ ]
There is much fun to be had with Tetra, and a bit more content than initially meets the eye.
