Social Points are a special type of points that you gain when doing activities with other players in Star Wars: The Old Republic. As you gain social points, your social rank will go up and you’ll be able to access new rewards at every level. In this guide, I’ll be going over the different ways you can get social points, and the cool armors, mounts and other items you can get as you progress on the social track!

How to Gain Social Points

Operations are another great option for earning social points, but they require more skill and more time, as well as needing to find a full group of 8 players to run them. The final way to earn social points is by killing Champion enemies or by completing bonus objectives in a group. Sadly, you do not earn social points from Galactic Starfighter or PvP, even though they’re group activities.

Social unlocks can only be unlocked and used by players who have reached the correct social level.

Social Armor is a special type of armor you can wear if you are the correct Social level. Social points are earned through group activites including group Flashpoints and Operations.

I have Social 10 on a few characters and the way I did it was I was always grouped with my boyfriend for our missions. We do them together.

You might want to see if you can find someone to do the missions with while you level.

You don't get social points from diplomacy, you get light/dark points.

The quickest way to get social points is to buy a social booster and run Black Talon or Esseles continuously, preferably with a full group of 4 people also running it for the same purpose.

Note: Do the bonus missions. They also grant social points.

You may also use the social point boosters (similar to the EXP boosts) while grouping to increase your overall social point gain. This adds up pretty quickly. some people hold onto their misery, a token of their lives, painted faces, warlike, they march on for blood they'd do anything Iv noticed when im in group with other people for flash points we get social points durring the cut scenes if im not mistaken

In general, social points are awarded for cut-scene dialogues with multiple players. More specifically: Every time you make a choice. The number of points you get equals the number of players participating in the dialogue, or twice that amount if you win the roll and your character is picked to act in that moment.

On top of that you get a few points for killing stuff in a group, I am not sure how that works. Back when the game was new dialogues were the only way to earn social points and it was considered highly impolite to leave a group in order to engage in dialogue without group, because that would diminish the social XP point gain for everyone.

Of all my characters, only my main character has social rank ten. Not that I would know what to do with it.
