Adobe reader could not open because it is either not a supported что делать
This is wierd. Is there a problem with Mavericks and Adobe Reader??
For several years I have downloaded IRS tax forms, filled them out, and saved them. Everything has worked smoothly.
However, I am now having a problem. The 2013 IRS forms still say that they can be saved. However, when I save them to my computer (they save as PDFs), and try to open them to work on them, I receive a message that:
"Adobe Reader could not open [form name.pdf] because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded)."
This happened a few weeks ago. I waited to see if there might be a bug with the IRS forms and sent the IRS an email, but it is still happening.
I upgraded my Mac operating system to Mavericks (OS 10.9.x) since completing last year's tax forms. I am running the most recent version of Adobe Reader (11.0.6), which I downloaded again to be sure it is current.
Also, things are now wierd when I look back at earlier year forms. For 2011 and earlier years, everything is fine. I can open them and they contain the data that I added to them.
For 2012, however (which I had not problems creating, saving and printing), the data that I added does not appear when I open the form EXCEPT it will appear in any data field that I click, but ONLY in that one data field. In other words, if I clidk the data field, the data that I added in that field (number or letters) then appears. However, if I click a different text data field, I can see the data in that new ield, but not in the previous field. So, the data is saved, but it does not show up except while that one field is clicked.
But, this is where it gets even stranger. The above problem downloading and then opening the 2013 forms occurred when I was using Safari. I just tried the exact same thing with Chrome as my browser. Everything worked without a hitch. I could download the form, input data, open the form with no problem, and the data was saved. So, this is a Mac/Safari problem of some kind.

You can "try" to save the pdf attachment first before opening it in Reader but most of the time, that doesn't make a difference. It will confirm that the file is being corrupted by the email though and not by some process involved in opening it from your email client.Copy link to clipboard
That error message says it all. It's not a supported file type or if it is, it's corrupted.

Emailing a pdf file is the most common way to corrupt it. Some email clients will encode the pdf to make it smaller and therefore make the transfer faster but when it is unencoded at the other end, it corrupts. Have them either Zip it first or post it online and send you a link.

New-ItemProperty -Path "HKCU:\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\11.0\Privileged" –Name "bProtectedMode" -Value 1 -PropertyType "DWord"
New-ItemProperty -Path "HKLM:\SOFTWARE\Policies\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\11.0\FeatureLockDown" –Name "bProtectedMode" -Value 1 -PropertyType "DWord"
Keypath: HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Policies\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\11.0\FeatureLockDown
Value name: bProtectedMode
Value type: REG_DWORD
Value data: 0
для x86
Keypath: HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\11.0\FeatureLockDown
Value name: bProtectedMode
Value type: REG_DWORD
Value data: 0
