screensize= //разрешение экрана
0 = 680x480
1 = 800x600
2 = 1024x768
3 = 1152x864
4 = 1280x1024
(The higher the resolution, the better the game will look but make sure your computer supports that resolution)

cliplevel= //дистанция объектов
0 = High (Show distant objects)
1 = Medium
2 = Low (Don't show distant objects)

screen= //режим окна игры
0 = Will run the game in windowed mode
1 = Will run the game in fullscreen mode

sevoice= //звуки персонажей
0 = Turns sound effects and voices off
1 = Turns sound effects and voices on

bgm= //фоновая музыка
0 = Turns music off
1 = Turns music on

Последняя обновленная версия фикса правит разрешение и соотношение сторон для современных 16:10 и 16:9 подобных решений. Игра заработает на родном разрешении, или можно установить вручную через *.ini-файл.

ИНСТРУКЦИИ ПО УСТАНОВКЕ:

После распаковки архива "SonicHeroes.WidescreenFix.13ag.zip" копируем все содержимое в директорию игры.

Step 1: After downloading the file, copy the .exe file in the .zip file into your game's root folder.

Step 2: After step 1, run the .exe file after copying. once in the programs menu enter the following:

File Name: sonic.exe.
Position 1: 2A81
Position 2: 2A82
Position 3: 2A8B
Position 4: 2A8C
(Enter resolution here)

Then click patch. the mod works best at the 1440x900 resolution. but any resolution should work fine, and there you go you now have Sonic Adventure DX in a widescreen format.

1: After applying the mod you now have to run the game through the sonic.exe file from now on.

2: Also when in cut scenes or menu's there will be a black bar on the right side of the screen, don't worry the black bar will not be in there when playing in a level or hub world.

3: The mod patcher was created by Squ1zZy so all credit goes to him.

I know I'm bumping a topic from ages ago, but there have been some developments I've run into while playing with hex editors that allow this to work on SADX Fixed Edition [goo.gl] (PC 2003 version)
I would post this on that sonic retro topic, but they still haven't approved my account on their forum because of some elitist ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

ANYHOW
download SADXFE for Sonic DX 2003 from link above and install it, following all it's instructions on that forum post.

Next, follow steps 1 and 2 from the above post, then use these settings instead.

Filename: SADXFE.exe
Pos1: 29DD
Pos2: 29DE
Pos3: 29E7
Pos4: 29E8
and use any resolution with a height greater than 768.
(720p works, but will cut off half the life meter and the small animals doohickey.)

Lastly, In the SADX autorun, set the resolution to 1024x768, as that is the resolution these positions allow unipatcher to edit. (alternatively edit sonicdx.ini and change the "screensize=?" to "screensize=2")

Same issues as above, the menus are all screwed up, but all is well in-game.

If you wanna run in a window, I recommend using DXwnd with the game still set to windowed in the autorun, because SADX PC 2003 is terrible when running windowed, no scaling or window resizing. Pssh. >_>

Подскажите пожалуйста, когда я пытаюсь в настройках изменить разрешение экрана, то настройки остаются стандартными(т.е. в моём случае, это оконный режим, разрешение экрана 1280х720, и т.д.).
Пытался даже вручную прописать в файле config.ini в директории с файлами игры запуск игры в полноэкраннном режиме, но, по ходу, игра вообще никак не привязана к этому *.ini файлу, т.к. после удаления этого файла и попытки восстановить настройки по умолчанию, файл заного не пересоздался. Да и до его удаления, после, как бы, изменений настроек, содержания файла нигде не изменялось.
Подскажите пожалуйста, как мне тогда изменить разрешение экрана и сделать игру на полный экран(основная цель-сделать экран больше(как это не странно), ибо если выставить, якобы, HD разрешение, игра будет отображатся в маленьком квадратике, в то время, как добрая половина экрана будет занято статической картинкой)?

Have you fixed the configure tool, using the method in this thread?

When you add the game to the computer's registry (as the linked thread advises), then the configure tool will work correctly, and you will be able to change the screen resolution.
It will also allow you to use controllers.
