Кода да винчи сохраняет оптимизированные медиа
I know how to generate optimized media but how do I delete it? It seems like there used to be a menu item in the Playback menu but I can’t find it in Resolve 17.

I am not seeing the delete optimized media menu option either. I found the optimized media folder. It is in the ./CacheClip/OptimizedMedia/ folder under one of your defined Media Storage Locations. You should be able to delete these files while Resolve is closed.
I suspect that the improved proxy handling and render cache will completely replace optimized media by v18. In v16 managing proxies was a bit cumbersome. You can now generate proxies in the media pool as easy as you can generate optimized media. Render cache already replaced the need to generate optimized media on the timeline.
Report SaveHow does one delete the generated proxies, then?
As you can tell, I’m pretty new to all this. What do you mean with “Render cache already replaced the need to generate optimized media on the timeline.” ?

const OMF = Optimized Media Files
/Movies/CacheClip/OptimizedMedia/* . I literally deleted the directory OptimizedMedia with the project still running. Going back to the project it played back the original media again without any problem.
My question (as a newbie) is: is that ok to keep timeline in lower res (like the above one) for better editing perf and still do final renders in 4k without quality degradation? I know it may be super-silly question, especially when there is a lot of info around on improving perf via proxies, but not much on timeline resolution.
