Total War: EMPIRE - Definitive Edition

Just tried to play Rome 2 total war, fully updated with patches and everything, however when I click play it comes up with that it needs to finalize installation. It gets to 100% then gives me the message with error code 53. I've had this game since day 1 and I'm a bit puzzled at why I cant play it now. Any help would be great.

BillyRuffian Moderator UK Registered Users, Moderators, Knights Posts: 39,865 March 2015 edited March 2015 That's an aweful lot of mods. Could you try disabling all your mods in Mod Manager, then checking the modified file to make sure they've all gone (if not, go to the Rome II data file and remove any remnants manually), and then try launching the game. If that works, you can re-install the mods on at a time, just to check whether one of them caused it.
